In the past, SMI has maintained working relationships with several companies offering business and point-of-sale software. Several years ago, we decided to concentrate only on software offered by the company now known as Activant Solutions™. This decision was made for three reasons:

	It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to stay abreast of the constant software changes and upgrades of multiple programs. SMI chose to offer a high degree of expertise in a single program rather than limited expertise in many.
	Activant™ is the largest provider of business management software to the Retail Hardware and Home Center industries. SMI personnel have a strong background in these industries and desired to continue serving clients in similar arenas.
	In the opinion of SMI, Activant™ business management software is simply the best available. It is highly adaptable, extremely reliable and user friendly.

Although we are not affiliated with Activant™ in any way, we support their continuing efforts to provide to our clients the best tools possible with which to run their businesses. SMI services are offered as enhancements to those offered by Activant, not replacements.
